Marcus Vick creating problems for brother Michael?

Mike Vick is in tough against the Saints tonight, taking a number of hits behind a struggling offensive line in a must win game for the Eagles a week after there were many calling for Vick’s job.

Its been a tough week, and, we can understand if he (and his family) are frustrated.

You know what Vick doesn’t need, though? His baby bro… a guy who wasted his own talent and has been prone to bad decisions… making problems for him.

Marcus spent much of the night on twitter lambasting the Eagles for their line play, decision making, etc. but his tweet of the night; this beauty:

An ill advised move, given the climate in Philadelphia and the very likely potential that Vick could be on his way out of Philly after the season and having to search quite hard for a team willing to give him a shot as the starter.

One would assume that Michael won’t be pleased with his brother’s comments, and, its another example of how the public forum of twitter can cause problems for athletes; even when they aren’t the one’s running their mouths.

In Marcus’ defense, he was probably high on crack when he tweeted that!

It is truly sad that ones own family member would be so bitter that his brother is a success. Which means he and the whole family benefit. His brother needs to find himself and seek spiritual options to cleanse himself of that bitter, envious spirit! Then, get a job and work towards his own success!

They aren’t the Steelers and Vick doesn’t play for the Steelers so I’m surprised I even read this.

Someone should tell this guy, he should stop reading his own comments, cause basically he just wants to be heard.. what a shame and a waste of good online spacing… if he feels the need to talk so much… try a mirror.

Another dog comment!!! REALLY??? The man made a mistake, paid the price in prison as well as financially!! ENOUGH!! He is an EXTREMELY talented athlete who in my opinion isn’t able to play to his potential due to lack of protection by his offense & a defense that needs to be consistent! I have no doubt other teams would be thrilled to have him!

      1. Checkdown

I don’t want to really come out and take a stance on one side or the other on this, though, if I’m being forthright I tend to lean your way Mrs L.

The big thing that surprises me is that this article has nothing to do with that, but, its still a big focal point for people/commenters as soon as they see Vick’s name.

Which, in fairness to those who hold the viewpoint shows how strongly this has upset them/how significant an issue it is to many.

        1. MrsL

How sad is it that people seem far more outraged over animal abuse than the decade’s of drunk driving, spouse abuse, steroid abuse, off season behavior that is despicable, not to mention the rampant adultery that is not only ‘acceptable behavior’, but ‘expected behavior’ by countless athletes that CHOSE a profession in which they knew they would be so called role models! Yet too many hypocrites chose to CONSTANTLY bring up the misdeeds of one athlete that more than took full responsibility for his action’s, has proven to be sincerely remorseful & reformed! The next person that wants to throw up this man’s past instead of keeping this about FOOTBALL, they’d best be signing off as Jesus Christ himself!

    3. DYSHR

OMG!!!!! THE MAN HAS PAID HIS DEBT TO SOCIETY !!!!!!!! DON’T GET ME WRONG, WHAT HE DID WITH THE DOGS WAS WRONG. BUT THERE ARE PEOLPE OUT THERE THAT ARE DYING, HOMELESS AND SUFFERING.

ARE YOU SPEAKING OR TRYING TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THAT? CAUSE TRUST ME IF IT CAME DOWN TO A HUMAN SURVIVING OR A DOG, TRUST ME, THE HUMAN WILL SURVIVE!

  6. T

Hey Darrlyl. In case nobody informed you the Man upstairs forgives all transgressions if are remorsful and ask forgiveness with a sincere heart. It lets us know, as flawed creatures, we cannot be the final judge of anyone because we have the problem of not forgiving others and letting them move on to higher and better callings in their lives.

  7. Mr. Cooper

You can tell they’re brothers. They’re both killers and dumb as bags of hair.

  8. Conrad Baines

As a balding man who has kept the remnants of a receding hairline in a bag, I take major offense to the comment “dumb as a bag of hair”.

    1. Checkdown

Thanks for stopping by Conrad. Respectfully, though, no one is calling you dumb for keeping the hair bag… but, suggesting that the bag itself is not that smart. So, if anyone should be offended its the bag full of the shattered pieces of your former hairdo.

    Is this news ?

  10. Tom

Maybe a trade for Tebow straight up?

  11. Tom

Maybe a trade for Tebow straight up? Yes that was a joke.

  12. TP

The problem isn’t Vick here…If his offensive line protected him better he would be stellar.

    1. Checkdown

      I think you’re totally right.

I think stellar may be a stretch, given that he’s still struggling with some pre-snap read stuff and other elements of his game, but, he can still make all the throws and you’re quite right, that if he wasn’t having to duck every play life would be a lot easier back there.

Moreover, I think part of the problem is the playcalling as well. The went 0/4 in goal to go situations last night. McCoy was gouging the Saints all night; yet, he got just two touches inside the 10, both of them on passes if I recall correctly.

Too much $ = Too laid back players! Seems like it’s hard for a millionaire to tackle another millionaire these days. lol And all these Baseball stats fanatics are bringing NFL down to MLB nerd level of entertainment.

Yeap, Philly O line is very bad & all the injuries just made it worse. Vick know nows how it feels to be stuck in a situation where there is no escape in the near future so you just have to take the beatings.

  14. Jose

its not ur fault vick its the o-line they suck

  15. Trish

OUT WITH VICK! Vicious Ignorant Cruel Killer. The Eagles will suffer from Vick’s bad Karma! Go SAINTS! I hope Vick NEVER finds another team stupid enough to hire him. Animal torturers are like pedophiles, they never change. It is only the money for which Vick puts on a humble attitude.

    1. TP

I realize there are MANY people that are not willing to forgive Vick for what happened with the dogs…I, myself, am an animal lover (but I go into the woods every gun season and hunt). As humans, I personally feel we ride both sides of the road sometimes and are too quick to criticize. With all that aside, those that refuse to forgive should at least RESPECT the fact that Vick DID TIME for getting in trouble. He wasn’t slapped on the wrist and allowed to continue playing like other players in the league throughout history. He was out of the game for two years. I am not an Eagles fan in particular but I enjoy football as a sport. And, Vick’s “humbleness” isn’t only about the money, he knows he’s lucky to be playing again and appreciates the opportunity to do so.

  16. Geno Thompson

Thank you T for bringing the truth back into the light. Let the first one without sin cast the first stone……. Yeah, I thought so….. We are humans, we make mistakes but, if You don’t allow people to grow for the better than what kind of world is this? Did you vote? See Mike has a job, like it or not it is still just a job.Have a blessed day friends.

  17. Morty

I pooped this morning…I believe one of the turds floating in the toilet had more common sense, possibly more intelligence, than Marcus Vick.

  18. yram

Morty if I was you. I would have respect for atleast people especially children that read comments on the web.

  19. Jim Kent

What would you expect from a SCUMBAG FAMILY OF FELLONS.
