Big things are expected of Julio Jones this season, from himself, the fantasy football community, and his WR tandem partner. So far in the preseason, it looks like Jones is set to deliver on expectations. On Atlanta’s first series Jones had 4 catches for 58 yards and a score. The touchdown grab was a degree of difficulty play in the corner of the endzone. Then, he delivered this:
As an aside, I first started really actively watching football in 1998 (I was 14, and, I live in Canada so I think I was kind of an early bloomer). That season, I watched the Atlanta Falcons reach the SuperBowl against the Broncos behind the powerful legs of Jamal Anderson. That season, JAM was known to drop the dirty bird, along with tight end OJ Santiago and other teammates.
It was fun. It was a simple TD dance, but, it endeared me to the Falcons . Then, it went dormant. But JJ11 is bringing it back this year – it seems, and, that has me liking him that much more.
